In 1980, Star Wars™: The Empire Strikes Back™ arrived in Japan with a striking theatrical poster created specifically for the Japanese market. Dominated by the menacing gaze of Darth Vader™, the artwork places his unmistakable helmet against a star-filled sky, while fleets of ships advance below and vivid crimson Japanese typography completes the dramatic composition.

Now, this distinctive piece of Star Wars™ cinematic history has been recreated for the first time on 20 g of .999 pure silver.

The large-format foil captures the original Japanese poster artwork in vibrant full color, enhanced by Proof detailing that allows the precious metal beneath to become part of the design. Measuring an impressive 175 × 262 mm, the format gives the artwork room to command attention while preserving the character of the original 1980 poster.

Turn the foil over to reveal a beautifully frosted starfield featuring the Star Wars™ logo and the Japanese inscription 「フォースと共にあれ」 (Fōsu to tomo ni are)—"May the Force be with you." The Public Seal of Niue also appears on the reverse, confirming the collectible as legal tender.
