June 18–20 Royal Canadian Mint Coin Exchange Metropolis at Metrotown

Collectors in British Columbia have an exciting opportunity this June as the Royal Canadian Mint partners with Parthava Coin to host a special coin exchange event at Metropolis at Metrotown in Burnaby.

Visitors will be able to exchange their Canadian circulation money for two of the Mint’s newest and most anticipated 2026 commemorative circulation coins:

• $1 FIFA World Cup 2026™ Commemorative Coin 2026
• $2 50th Anniversary of the CN Tower Coin 2026

These limited-release circulation coins celebrate two major milestones: the 50th anniversary of Canada's iconic CN Tower and Canada's role as a host nation for the FIFA World Cup 2026™, the largest FIFA tournament in history.

Admission is free and no registration is required.

How the Coin Exchange Works

Participants can exchange any denomination of Canadian circulation coins or banknotes for the new commemorative coins while supplies last. Transactions are cash-only exchanges, and coin limits per person will apply.

As with previous Royal Canadian Mint exchange events, demand is expected to be high, especially for the FIFA World Cup 2026 coin and the CN Tower 50th Anniversary $2 coin.
