To mark the 50th anniversary of Pablo Picasso’s passing (1973–2023), the Royal Spanish Mint (Real Casa de la Moneda / FNMT) released a stunning 6-coin proof set in 2023, each struck in .999 fine silver and featuring iconic works from Picasso’s oeuvre. The set includes six square-shaped €10 legal-tender coins (36 × 36 mm), each colorized and rendered in proof finish. The obverse of all coins shares the same portrait of Picasso with his signature, while each reverse highlights a different masterpiece: Woman in Blue, Harlequin, Bullfight, Jacqueline Seated, Head of Woman Crying with Scarf, and Waiting (Margot)The set arrives in a custom clamshell presentation box, accompanied by individual Certificates of Authenticity for each coin.
