Giant Deer Megafauna 2 Oz Silver Coin 2026

Journey back to the prehistoric wilderness with the Megafauna: Giant Deer 2 oz Silver Coin, an extraordinary addition to the Megafauna Series that celebrates the immense creatures that once roamed Earth's ancient landscapes.

This remarkable edition pays tribute to the Giant Deer (Megaloceros giganteus), one of the most impressive animals of the Ice Age. Renowned for its enormous, sweeping antlers and commanding stature, this extinct species once inhabited the forests and open landscapes of prehistoric Eurasia, leaving behind a fascinating legacy in natural history.

The coin portrays two majestic Giant Deer standing among towering woodland trees, their magnificent antlers extending across the composition. Warm bronze tones illuminate the animals against a darkened forest landscape, creating a dramatic contrast that emphasizes their powerful forms and the mysterious atmosphere of a vanished prehistoric world.

Struck in 2 oz of .9999 fine silver, the coin features an evocative Antique Finish enhanced by selective colouring. The richly textured silver surfaces bring depth to the shadowed woodland setting, while carefully applied bronze colouring highlights the Giant Deer's muscular bodies, intricate fur textures, and extraordinary antlers.

The combination of naturalistic engraving, atmospheric finishing, and selective colour creates a captivating scene that celebrates both the strength and beauty of these prehistoric giants.

As part of the Megafauna Series, this limited edition offers a distinctive interpretation of the Giant Deer, complementing the 1 oz Brilliant Uncirculated release with a larger format, antique finishing, and dramatic colour enhancements.

Each coin is individually numbered and presented in a protective capsule and cardboard box, accompanied by its Certificate of Authenticity.

With an exceptionally limited mintage of only 500 pieces worldwide, the Megafauna: Giant Deer 2 oz Silver Coin is a remarkable addition to collections celebrating Ice Age wildlife, extinct animals, and prehistoric natural history.
