Itzpapalotl Aztec Heritage series 1/2 Oz Silver Coin 2026

Journey into the darker realms of ancient Mesoamerican mythology with the Aztec Heritage: Itzpapalotl 1/2 oz Silver Coin, a haunting addition to the Aztec Heritage Series that explores the powerful deities, supernatural forces, and mysterious legends of the Aztec civilization.

Inspired by Itzpapalotl, the fearsome Obsidian Butterfly goddess, this collectible portrays a skeletal, winged figure emerging from a devastated volcanic landscape. With enormous black wings spread behind her and a deadly blade gripped in her hand, the deity commands an atmosphere of darkness and destruction. Glowing fire and distant volcanic activity intensify the dramatic scene, evoking the formidable supernatural powers associated with this ancient figure.

Struck in 1/2 oz of silver, the coin combines a luminous Proof finish with vivid colouring to create a striking contrast between the dark, apocalyptic landscape and the sculpted silver elements. Fiery orange and red tones illuminate the background, while intricate details emphasize the goddess's skeletal form, powerful wings, and ceremonial weapon.

As part of the Aztec Heritage Series, this edition continues the exploration of ancient mythology through expressive artwork and precious metal craftsmanship, transforming a legendary supernatural figure into a distinctive numismatic collectible.

Presented in a protective capsule and themed blister packaging with its Certificate of Authenticity, this exceptionally limited release has a worldwide mintage of just 199 pieces.
